Designed for young Care Leavers and also those with neurodiverse strengths we will focus on clothing, creativity, Maths, English and gaining job ready skills. These will be helpful to you in making friendships, helping you play to your strengths and developing the skills you need to thrive in either a job, a business, further training or socially. We will help tailor your training needs and prepare you for future opportunities. Referrals for students will come from Virtual School Liverpool, Positive Futures, The Learning Foundry and Assess Education (and future partners).

3-day welcome and induction programme of fun, friendship, communication and interactive activities.
The 3-day program will focus on relationships by exploring teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, and cooperation. These skills will be helpful to you in making friendships, helping you play to your strengths and developing the skills you need in moving from school to thrive in either a job, a business, further training or socially.
This course will look to add positive thinking, self-control, and determination to your skillset. Finally, there will be an opportunity to reflect on your ambition, self-awareness, and emotional control. This will provide the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in any workplace.

This qualification sets out to ensure that pupils can:
Paper 1 – Fiction and Imaginative Writing (1 hour 45 minutes)
Section B – Writing: a choice of two writing tasks. The tasks are linked by a theme to the reading extract.
Paper 2 – Writers’ Viewpoints and Perspectives (2 hours and 5 minutes)
Section A – Reading: questions on two thematically linked, unseen non-fiction extracts.
Section B – Writing: a choice of two writing tasks. The tasks are linked by a theme to the reading extracts.
Spoken Language
This component is internally assessed under controlled conditions and externally monitored by Edexcel/Pearson.
Candidates must undertake a prepared spoken presentation on a specific topic in a formal setting, listen and respond to questions and feedback, and use spoken English effectively.
There are no marks for the Spoken Language endorsement. Students are awarded a grade Pass, Merit or Distinction.

What is the aim of the course?
The aim of this course is to support you in the beginning of your journey into becoming a dress maker.

You will have to keep your work organised in a file and build up a portfolio of evidence.
Access to the internet at home is essential, basic internet knowledge.

How to choose material for a dress to wear 5 ways – this is a great course on how to cut from a square pattern and design a dress or shirt:-
Implementation – How will I learn?
You will complete theory work, practical work and watch demos. You will learn through lessons, group discussions and research.
How will I know I am progressing?
Each learner will have a one to one at the end of each day with their tutor and they will give you regular updates on your progress both verbally and in written feedback at the end of the 3 days.
